Avalon Hill sports games used a special set of three dice (1 Black, 2 White).

To determine the total on these dice, add ten times the number on the black die to the sum of the numbers on the two white dice. The dice total can be any number from 10 through 39.
The Avalon Hill football games, Paydirt and Bowl Bound, used the three normal dice for Offensive outcomes and added 2 dice (1 Red, 1 Green) for Defensive outcomes. The defensive dice total is simply the sum of the numbers on the two dice. The defensive dice total can be any number from 1 through 5.
